eDNA Ecology Club

What started as a fun way to distract ourselves from work and to build community in the lab has grown to be an expanding network of wildlife resource managers, restoration practitioners, researchers, and community members alike.
Project collaborators and members of my lab are all invited to join the “eDNA Ecology Club” – an exclusive (but welcoming) society founded by myself, my lab mascot Goats the Dog, and my Undergrad Researchers during my PhD work at UMass Amherst.
Interested in membership? Look no further! Anyone can join – all it takes is a love for nature, a desire to improve the natural world the best we can, and an interest in eDNA science. Hats are available for purchase upon request, but are not required for membership 😊.
About the Logos:
Goats the Dog was my best friend and fieldwork buddy before and throughout my time working on my PhD at UMass Amherst. Everyone who met him loved him. He was a sweet, loving, hungry, and a slightly quirky little man. He passed away the final year of my PhD, and his image on the “eDNA Ecology Club” logos acts as a living legacy to my sweet boy who contaminated all of our field samples (positive controls), and who brought joy to everyone who met him.
The excellent logos were designed by undergraduate researchers Eva K and Lea L.
